An agreement has been signed between Grameenphone Ltd and Grameen Bank where Grameen Bank, has opted for complete secured data connectivity solution “GP Connect� under Business Solutions package.
This agreement will allow Grameen Bank to avail cost effective and secured communication solutions for internal data transfer for all area office around the country through Grameenphone Business Solutions. These services availed by Grameen Bank will not only increase efficiency of daily operation but also will ensure faster communication.
Grameen Bank provides financial services to the rural poor of Bangladesh. Those services include loans, saving accounts, pension plans and loan insurance. The overall goal of Grameen Bank is poverty elimination. Grameen Bank provides credit to the poorest in Bangladesh, without any collateral.

Mr. Abdus Salam, General Manager (Services), Grameen Bank and Mr. Sajjad Alam, Head of Direct Sales, Grameenphone Ltd signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Mr. Ratan Kumar Nag (Acting Managing Director) of Grameen Bank and Mohammad Baqui Billah (General Manager), Siam ul Islam (Head of NGO Vertical), Khaled Hassan (Zone Manager) Md. Kamrul Islam, Account Manager from Grameenphone Limited was present during the event.
